Interestingly, found this youtube video of a Cattleya (or Dendrobium?) growing between the fronds of a Platycerium on the streets of Bali.

Maybe 1800 FC 12h day, more Oncidium-like light.

Some things to think about when comparing the in-situ photo, or the Bali video with orchid growing between the fronds of the Platycerium (suspect Dendrobium, since those are native to Asia where Cattleyas are New-World orchids) to anything that is set up artificially is that both of those situations are in environments with high (80% or more) humidity and cloud cover softening the light.
