Pinguicula Male
Default Pinguicula

An unidentified (I lost the tag) Mexican Pinguicula. This photo does absolutely no justice to how vivid the color actually is:

The flowers are very pretty. It is a nice little plant to have in a collection. I have no idea what mine is...I think some hybrid.

It's so cute, I really wish mine flourished under my care, I can't get them to grow whether it be indoor or outdoor except the greentent.
Cant wait to visit the carni plant society again, it's kinda funny because of the giant age gap differences of the members between the carnivorous and the orchids society you see at the meeting room.

If you have issues keeping Mexican Pinguicula, perhaps you should try a different type of Pinguicula. Some of the warm temperate species from the SE US are extremely easy to keep and don't require different care at different points in the growing season. As long as you keep P. planifolia or P. primulaflora strong light, wet with mineral free water and don't let them freeze they're easy.

the one I have are Ping bugbane (a gigantea hybrid) and P. Laueana. Despite the extended neglect while I was on vacation, these pings were actually still clinging on to their life when I got back.
