For someone outside the USA, what does 'CRT' stand for?

Critical Race theory. It is a course taught in some colleges studying race in American history (slavery, reconstruction, drug war, etc). Currently right wingers are engaged in a mass delusion that it is being taught to young children in public schools and they are on a witch hunt to get any book or article that mentions race banned so white kids "don't feel bad and guilty" about the way minorities were/are oppressed in the USA.

Thanks to you both, I'll look it up. No need to talk it here, if there are things I don't understand, I'll come back and ask, ok?
Edit: oh-oh! I read and read ... and switched to a sugar free lemon curd recipe. There is less options for me to be/to do wrong ...

Well I was enjoying this forum until all this started. I see one side of the argument gets chastised for speaking and the other side doesn't. I'm not gonna hang around for the bias. I came here for orchids.

HI. I agree. and I would just like to call your attention to what i said in my first post on this thread:

If you tag your posts with political stuff then this place stops being a safe place where we all talk about something we have in common and starts being a place where we start talking about other things that are divisive and likely not friendly. Keep it to orchids and we can all get along.
Thanks.

That request, polite enough I think, was ignored.

Is it a loophole have an inflammatory political statement in your post signature? It should be closed, because it allows for the injection of political speech into the orchid discussion boards on this board. No doubt K-Sci is liking the attention and that he got a rise out of people. I wonder why the mods haven't stepped in here to address this or at least closed this topic.
I admit its funny to see K-Sci get dunked on with facts and Dusty Ol' Man get triggered that nobody is sticking up for missatributed MLK quotes and the latest fox news bogeyman but this topic is about cinnamon and it hasn't been about that for at least 2 pages.

Man, that cinnamon sure spiced things up!
Maybe the orchids can join in on the cooler talk too.

My apologies for allowing this thread to go on so long. Now that it's been brought to my attention, it's been addressed.
I try not to stay in the loop with political stuff. Frankly, when I saw the CRT comment this old lady thought Weird... why would anyone care about cathode-ray tube monitors in schools? Don't laugh at me... I'm already laughing hard enough for all of us.
