Hi
Does anyone have any recent experience on how long a small parcel is likely to take from USA to UK?
Nothing to do with orchids
The item I'm after can't be posted directly to me in the Canary Islands so I'm considering having it sent to a friend in the UK for them to bring with them here in mid December. But I don't want to risk it arriving after they have travelled here and bouncing around in the system for a few weeks and ending up going back to USA.
Cheers for any info.

I have shipped several small packages using USPS flat-rate boxes. They usually arrive in 6-10 days, but I have occasionally been surprised to have them arrive sooner.

One caveat: none of them was to the UK - mostly France and Spain - and it is the processing on both ends that takes up most of the time.

They usually take weeks, especially at this time of year if sent by post, I wouldn't expect it before Christmas.

Thank you both.
I'd forgotten the 'Christmas' aspect of the post!
Instead I'll have the item sent to a shipping company in the UK and wait for the next container they ship out here. I'd prefer to wait a couple of months than have the item go missing or be returned.
Thanks again.
