Thankfully I had plenty of supplies to last a few weeks if roads were blocked… but since we could get out we did after we took care of some stuff. So I’m waiting to see what is happening before heading back. Just hoping I still have a job when I get there. Kidding- sort of… lol

A job doesn't really matter if you're dead, right? I've been thinking about this a lot. We don't get hurricanes, obviously. Tornadoes are Bang! then done. The fallout from them is all about power afterward, if you're still around.
I wouldn't hesitate for a heartbeat to leave my space due to a job. We've been without power several times. In summer, doable. In winter.... Brrrrrrr. But we can't really leave due to horses and more large dogs than any individual should have (the chickens, cow, goat we can just leave a TON of food for if we check once or twice a week).
I'm just so glad to hear you're okay.
