Jeopardy! Wednesday, July 28th

Hi all!

I'm fairly new around these parts, but I wanted to give everyone in the US and Canada a heads up that I will be on Jeopardy tomorrow (7/28).

Who knows, maybe I'll even talk about orchids! Tune in to find out.

Unfortunately, here the episode will be preempted by the olympics. Hopefully we’ll catch you in reruns.

My wife was on Jeopardy in 1990.

Big "Jeopardy!" fan here! I've watched for many, many years, and miss Alex Trebek very much. I've enjoyed most of the guest hosts and can't wait to see who they end up naming as the new permanent host -- waiting with a mix of excitement and dread, if I'm honest. If your episode is airing tomorrow, you got Levar Burton, whom I've only seen in one episode so far, but I know he has a lot of fans.

Ray, the show airs on the network showing the Olympics in my area, too, but what the local station has done is pre-empted "Wheel of Fortune," and moved "Jeopardy!" to 7:00 p.m. instead of 7:30 p.m. for the duration. That's a very interesting bit of Orchid Board trivia that your wife was on the show in 1990.

I miss Alex too. I was actually supposed to tape on April 1, 2020, but that didn't happen for obvious reasons, so my dream of being on with Alex was sadly snuffed out.

LeVar Burton was indeed my guest host. He struggled mightily all week but I actually think Wednesday went the most smoothly of all five. Hopefully it shows.

Actually, I found out that starting this week, they don’t start Olympic coverage until after Jeopardy!

Didn’t know that yesterday (hurrah for dvr), as my wife and I went out of anniversary dinner.

We’ll be rooting for you.
