You probably experienced the Walter Murphy 1977 disco style recording of Rhapsody in Blue that was featured in the 2019 TV show Watchmen. It had moderate commercial success when released, and somewhat of a resurgence after it was used in the popular TV show. I remember hearing it in dance clubs and private parties circa 1980. There may be other versions, but that is almost certainly the best known.
