Weird Fun Growth looking for light...

Just wanted to share my two very weird plants who are stretching their necks to the "Skylight" light source.
The one with the full foliage at the top is a fig tree! Its been growing for many years now just as a house plant. As it stretch up towards the light source I kept staking it up. The pot its growing out of is on the floor infant of the fireplace. Its tall and spindly having finally reached the bottom of the skylight!
The other plant to the left of it on the mantle I believe is some sort of Plumeria which has also grown very tall towards that light source!
Love to hear your comments on these

BTW, I have killed all my bonsai except for an easy ficus one, have lots of air plants, fiddle leaf fig, pony tail palm, bottle neck palm, burros tail, pothos, fig trees and a buddha belly bamboo to name a few all in a small condo with eastern exposure.
So now lQQking towards orchids as a new hobby...

Wow! I have walked through forests and saw young trees do the same to get enough light. No leaves until the very top when they can peek through a hole in the canopy.

Is that really tall one the fiddle leaf or is it a Fiscus carica (the one that produces edible figs without pollination)? I have never grown a fiddle leaf, only the Fiscus carica.

The tall one is a brown turkey fig tree that never gave me figs being I've tortured it indoors!!
If you notice on the ground on the right side of all this is a Fiddle leaf fig, being the laughing buddha.
I do have some fig starts, rooted cuttings, to go outdoors this year that should give me figs!

I have a lot of em and the leaves and growth are distinct

I eat far too many figs at a time from the garden, pick 'em and eat 'em warm from the sun one after another and then an hour later have to make a dash indoors

My other favourite is to chop them up and mix with goat's milk yoghurt - divine!

A wonderful appetizer I was served was cut figs drizzled with warm honey and sprinkled with shredded basil.

My old Sicilian high school teacher wo had a huge fig tree in his backyard told me of a recipe where you cut the figs in half, gently sautés them in butter face down and then add some basalmic and cook it down a little and there ya go!
