Update:
DC and WW are totally synchronised in their growth! They got a bit battered in a calima a few weeks ago but both have a new frond growing strongly, still tucked inside the older ones.

I'm pumped. And feel like the postman... Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds. Yes, tis only an American saying, saying....but so appropriate.
Pretty sure I need to examine my old coconut, and kick it to the curb.

As you who have followed this thread over the year or years or however long this has been going on, you know that I have mentioned that I've heard about the joys of eating the inside of a sprouted coconut, but nobody here seems to try it.
I think it's time for me to take one for the team. I'm going to sprout a coconut, I'm going to sprout it, and then I'm going to eat the insides. And I will photograph every step.
You're welcome. I'm going to buy a coconut now.

It's now my mission. It is no longer casual. It is part of my life now, and I mean to take it seriously hahahahaha all the way to either exultant success, or miserable failure, which ever the fates have in store for me.

To complicate matters further, apparently there is a great deal of personal taste dictating just how sprouted the coconut should be for optimal flavor. That only leaves one option.
I am going to sprout multiple coconuts and eat them as the sprouts are various heights to see which one I find the most pleasing. It's so simple, how could I possibly go wrong?

Do you have to use the brown coconuts that have had the husk removed, or can you sprout the green ones that are carved into a more drinkable shape? Are those too immature, or will they sprout as well?

I don't know how, why, or when, but this has become a quest for me.
