Default Citrus tree with issues.

Hello all,

Does anything know what’s wrong with this tangelo tree of mine?

The light colored spots on the top surface of the leaves have a corresponding brown spot on the other side. Much of the foliage is affected. My concern was Leprosis or CVC (variegated chlorosis). Everyone I’ve showed it to thus far though says definitely not leprosis but I still have concerns.

This might help:
University of Arizona Cooperative Extension Citrus Management.

The University of Florida probably has something similar, and you might be more likely to find photos of diseases occurring in high humidity climates, which we definitely are not.

I have about 20 different citrus trees, but I've never seen that. I think you have a nutrient deficiency (I see severe chlorosis in older leaves) and possibly something else. Citrus are very heavy nitrogen, magnesium, zinc and iron feeders. Availability is highly dependent on soil pH.

Good luck! This has motivated me to add some of my organic citrus fertilizer and some Ironite to all my lower pH plants. The spots look like what happens when I neglect this. I usually just sprinkle all my plants with Osmocote but the lower pH plants (the majority) get the citrus fertilizer and Ironite, too.
