do you do your own shipping? how so and how does it work
Default do you do your own shipping? how so and how does it work

So i have been quarantined since March and it is really cramping my moves as far as shipping anything.

I just found out that you can do at home labels without having to buy anything if you have a scale of suitable accuracy.

i know a bunch of you all do mail merch and are online vendors so i assume a lot of you have a lot of experience.

can i get some info about if you use USPS or others and if you find a small food scale sufficient or did you upgrade to a specific postal scale? any pro tips or massive mistakes to avoid?

i don't send a lot of things but i do like to send dried peppers to my sis and share orchids and cuttings when possible and i have been doing odds and ends of asking neighbors and relatives to get things shipped.

thanks

When I first started out, I was a beta tester for the USPS D-I-Y software. When they quit that, they referred me to stamps.com.

In their introductory deal, you get a free scale, some free postage and some free supplies. Their software is pretty good and connects to Quickbooks too, making life easier.

As I got much bigger, I connected with FedEx and they gave me rates that beat the USPS.

Now that I'm a small shipper again, I'm back with stamps.com, except for heavier items like 25# bags of K-Lite and 10L Jugs of KelpMax.

Check your PM's - I sent you a referral code that gets us both free stuff.
