OH wow! Nice shot!
Tonight was the first night I have seen stars in a few weeks thanks to wildfire smoke, I missed them!

What an awesome picture.
Nothing like a beautiful clear night sky in Northern New England. Especially if you aren't used to seeing the stars so up close and personal.

Wow, very nice! As an amateur astronomer and secretary of my local astronomy club, I have an appreciation for sights like that in the night sky. What equipment, exposures, etc. did you use to take the photo?

Thanks all! It is an amazing sight not seen that much these days.
Mountaineer370 - I used a Canon 5D Mark IV camera and a Rokinon 14mm F2.8 lens. The exposure was 20 seconds at ISO 6400. Processed on my IPad.

Amazing. I am strictly a visual astronomer myself, just looking through the eyepiece on a telescope at the wonders of the universe. I have tremendous respect and admiration for those who are able to point a camera and get such wonderful images. You're right, the Milky Way, our home galaxy, is harder and harder to see at night with the proliferation of city and suburban lights that stay on all night. It's a real treat to get out in the wilderness like you did.
