---------- Post added at 03:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:14 PM ----------

looking at the plant i have it is Hymen. latifolia- thanks!

if anyone wants to have a few bulbs (to those of you especially that i frequently trade with) i am going to dig up one of these guys to make it easier to get in the garage and to plant them down the side but given their size i imagine there will be bulbs-a-plenty to share

Pollinate them. Most are self-fertile.

is it as simple as putting the pistol onto the stamen or do i need to collect the pollen and stick it on like with Vaseline?

Just put the pollen on the pistil. The pollen may ripen at a different time than the pistil so you may need to take pollen from one flower and put it on another.
