Mostly.

I still find a broken link or two every now and then, and clean 'em up as I do.

That's excellent to hear Ray. Nice to know it's getting back to normal.

I fixed the “Fertilizer ppm” and “D-I-Y K-Lite” calculators first, and dropped the page about using an SLR camera to measure light intensity (everyone uses iPhone apps now). I’ll get to the others in time (my wife is not happy that I’ve spent the last week glued to the computer).

Now I’ve also discovered that the plugin for tables is no more, so am having to recreate them with a different one. Fortunately, the old plugin basically had you paste come csv text on the page and it would format it, and the new one imports csv....

There are a lot of old no-batteries-required photoelectric cell lightmeters from the 1960s still out there.

Ray, seeing this thread pop up again reminds me that I had spotted a 'broken' page when looking up S/H info. On this page, Evaporation Reducing Barrier >> First Rays LLC the example photo is missing.

Check out Udemy, there are tons of online courses there, and usually a couple very good ones per topic. I learned the basics of Python and HTML/CSS there.

Maybe I remembered wrong, but wasn't there a photo of a plant with the plastic disc? If could be that I'm thinking of a photo I saw in the forums somewhere.

Nope. The idea was originated by a grower in Scandinavia many years ago, I think, but I've never tried it with a plant, so have no such photo.

Let this be a lesson to self-taught computer geeks: Ask before you jump.

When I originally installed WordPress it was in a subdirectory, and I just redirected firstrays.com to that. Images, PDF's and other attachments were in that subdirectory or several others in the root directory.

After the meltdown, I decided to do a new installation right in the root directly, using the "Softaculous" installer my web host provides. What I didn't know was that Softaculous erases the entire subdirectory before the installation, so all of those subdirectories and their contents are gone - hence the missing images.

Fortunately, I have several backups, so can restore them, but despite the time provided by the pandemic, I can't bring myself to go through every document to see what's missing. I've done a bunch, and folks like you, Camille, have helped, but WOW! Is that tedious!

There are few things in life that can cause that kind of chaos and angst owning a business.... computer crash, software crash. I thought it would never get worse than that... until the first time I had a full blown tax audit. The stuff of nightmares.
