Heyo!

My 1990s Weber Genesis silver has finally rotted to the point of not working properly. Damn shame they don’t make a grill to last

I need to replace it but the new Weber’s in the same category are like 1700-2000 and I feel like that is four time what I paid in ‘95

So before I go vegan, does anyone have any good personal experience with a particular model? Hate a brand? I’d like to have a rotisserie because it makes for cooking two birds sooo easy.

Any help?
Thanks, friends!

I'm in exactly that same boat - with a same era Genesis.

Grills have become SO expensive!

I am looking at the Char-Broil Commercial Series at my local Lowes.

Good grief! We bought a nice new Weber from Lowe's a few years ago for well under that! We use the rotisserie all the time too! I guess I'd be going vegan too.

The rotisserie is basically an essential now.

I have a bomb mustard rub (good mustard and good salt; cracked (not crushed) pepper corns (I like them to cook up and then fall off. If it is crushed it sticks too well in my experience) and some rosemary, right off the bush) and it is the easiest meal ever

I do not want to blow the bank though. Maybe I’ll buy a Ronco lol!!

And it that orchids or the orchid hobby? Lol

So including the lath house 2100. Without 1520....

What are you trying to say here, Dolly?

That a device I cook on and use to feed my family MIGHT be worth a bigger investment than flowers???

Lol

A decent grill IS a priority! In addition to giving you some new cooking capabilities, it keeps the heat out of the house - a real bonus if you live where the a/c runs constantly.

We don't like gas or electric grills. Hardwood charcoal is the only way to go. Not that it's helpful... just had to chime in.

so i went with the Weber...i was about to buy the Broil King Commercial and found the last years Weber Summit 4 series for sale from a TV store at $100 more than the Broil King- They took paypal so if it was a scam, id have my $ back in 30 days and it was almost %50 off so i took the chance.
