I've never been able to get into classical. Strictly a rock guy I guess.
I had forgot about this thread so I'll provide answers to my post.
I have never met Adam Sandler. Even though he grew up not far from where I live now and he is "home" fairly often since he became 'famous', our paths have just never crossed. I hear he is as funny in real life as he is working.
I am retired from the aerospace industry where I spent several years working on some of our national space programs. I have had the honor of spending a fair amount of time with both Buzz and Elon. Buzz is absolutely one of the funniest human beings I have ever met. Talk about stories! Elon is kind of what you'd expect I think. He's different but I'm pretty sure you have to be to be as creative as he is. One night at a conference in Logan, Utah I stopped by the Space-X hospitality suite which was being held way offsite at the airport. They had it inside a hanger which in itself was kind of neat but while colleagues and I were chatting with Elon he says out of the blue, "want to come outside and check out my new plane?" He had what I think was an older retrofitted 727 that he had completely tricked out as a flying home/office. We got quite the personal tour which was very cool and answered the question of why they were way out at the airport.
Barry Goudreau (guitarist for 'Boston')- I grew up right outside Boston and spent every winter weekend skiing with a friend. A couple times a winter our families would rent a place at one of the mountains where we would occasionally be joined by his cousin Barry and his family who were all also big skiers. Barry went everywhere with a guitar talking about wanting to be a rock star. He succeeded!
Steve Tyler- Aerosmith was formed in little town called Sunapee, NH just a couple towns north of where I live. Steve and Joe Perry spent summers there as kids which is how they met. Steve still has a home there on Lake Sunapee and I've bumped into him numerous times over the years at the grocery store, hardware store or functions. Super nice guy!

1. George W Bush (when he was president)
2. Brad Pitt (he's actually from my hometown, Shawnee, Oklahoma)
3. DJ Oakenfold (if you don't know, he was one of the hottest DJs in the rave scene in the late '90s to early '00s)
4. Salt N Pepa (and DJ Spinderella was there too, so I got all three of them)
5. Beto O'Rourke (Am I a Texan yet? I've lived here for two years? How long does it take for one to become a Texan)
Alright, there it is. GO!

I kind of shocked my choir director by telling her that my musical background switched from The 1812 Overture to The Doors when I was in high school.

2 Brad Pitt is not from Shawnee OK. He is from Springfield MO, my stompping grounds. 80 miles from where I was raised.

Brad was born in Shawnee, but I think he was pretty young when he moved out of there. He still has family there, a grandmother that I know of, and maybe others, I'm not sure. But he was Shawnee born for sure. He still comes through Shawnee occasionally, and it's a small town so it is always front page news when he is in town. That being said, I have never actually see him haha, so you're right about it not being Brad Pitt.
