My guess is also Steven King for WW. If you were as young as I was in the early days of rock and roll, you probably saw a lot of those others you named,

Even in Kansas Just kidding, I am from Missourah, and lived in KC and Shawnee Mission in the mid 1970s.

My selection will probably resonate more with OB members on the other side of the pond!

1. David Gower (England cricket captain)
2. Ian Botham (England cricket legend)
3. Alan Knott (English cricket wicket keeper extraordinaire)
4. Bob Willis (English cricket fast bowling legend)
5. Ben Stokes (current English cricket hero)

As for guessing some of the previous selections I'll have to pass as I don't even recognise lots of the names!

I tried to watch a cricket game once in Bermuda Ray. I watched for a couple hours. I think I was starting to figure it out but my vacation ended 3 days later so I have no idea how it turned out!

Nope, not Stephen King.

Also was interested if anyone would notice his name's spelled Stephen, not Steven.

Had drinks with him at a bar in Colorodo in 1974, before he became a real famous kinda guy. He had recently moved there. Said he was writing a novel, don't remember name of it now. First book of his I read was Carrie, several years later. I instantly recognized that dude's face on the book jacket...

Elon is incorrect. You're down to a 33.3% chance.

OK---I can tell my Stephen King story now that WW has spilled hers. I had wanted to use him so here's the story. It's frighteningly similar. (ha ha)
Wife and I both graduated from Maine schools, got married and lived a few more years in Maine. This would be like '72- '80. Wife worked in Portland with a good friend whose at the time boyfriends family owned a cottage on a lake outside Bridgton.
We were all hanging out up at the lake one weekend when our hosts parents said, "so we understand you guys have all been playing bridge together once in awhile. We have neighbors here we get together with occasionally, would you be interested? We all said sure. An hour later, Stephen and Tabitha walked in. Fun folks, we had a blast.

BTW WW---- His first novel of note, I believe was Salem's Lot and I still think it was his best work ever.

KG that is a great story. The reason I had meet all the ones on my list was because I lived in Los Angleles and as a nurse there, you meet a lot of actors when they are ill. I often was a contract nurse and would be called to care for them. And the President of Mexico's sister, I met during the earthquake recovery of the dead. Even the Rear Admiral of the Navy sent me with a list to the Embassy and to the Mexican :white house"
