Classified Ad Spring fever...hurray.

I am happier today. Less worried about how this covid 19
will affect me personally. I have been frustrated since I have as a younger woman work following two earthquakes, Mexico City, for 5 months and hired by the VA to work in the Northern Calif quake of 1998 the Loma Prieta. Did PTSD counseling of those living near the epicenter. In the mid 90s drove from my home in the smokey mts. to Oklahoma City following the bombing and 168 deaths, worked 2 weeks in the family center scheduling debriefings of all the volunteers working there. I said at the time, this is my last disaster work.
And it was. Still, I feel sad to not be able, because of age, to volunteer as a nurse if needed if NM became as overwhelmed as Ca, NY and Washington state.
so I am taking a more passive way of helping. Making mask for a 100 bed nursing home.
/and it is spring, and I have the fever. When I picked up the last food I will need for the next month, I drove by the garden center. Came home with three orchids, one a deep purple I bought for someone else but decided to get a lighter purple to gift her with. And daffadills were a buck a small part, in bloom, and I could not resist the larger pot with daffis hydrangas, and another small plant I haven't taken the time to identify. And there was a cordyline hybrid, which I have learned is maybe a dracaena type, that has three plant in a 2 foot wide pot. Was on sale because of some damaged leaves, which I cut off as soon as I got her home.
Ordered more LECA to repot the orchids, and starting to organize my plant room that is just inside my front door. Yes SPrING is here and I may start to sing soon. again
