Yes, one crown does indeed make it a "novelty" as opposed to making it dinner.

Wow... four years?!? I would be crying. That's my main garden crop. One year of off-growing and I was more than despondent. That's truly weird... you should be able to grow tomatoes in your climate. Do they just not grow? Get wilt? Don't set on fruit?

I just put in Rainbow Chard, a ton of leaf lettuce, a couple kinds of fall squash, and pumpkins. Most of it will be to feed the chickens because chickens need a balanced veggies diet to make them happy cluckers.

It would make a very very long post to describe the issues.

I wish a tomato whisperer would show up one season and check over everything and say, "there's yer problem, here's how you fix it".

Netflix or Amazon, you listening?! We need a vege garden whisperer show, start with me.
