Hi All,

I've been busy this spring so haven't visited for a while. In the middle of repairing my roof and kitchen sink, as well as general spring garden chores.

Before hot weather hits, need to refresh my sunroom evaporative cooler, and redo the orchard irrigation system destroyed by javelina. And I have some plants to send to some friends here.

You do sound busy. Good luck with all of the repairs and renovations.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. Our winter rainy season lasted a lot longer than expected. We had rain just 4 days ago. Normally it's dry between mid March and early July.

I have a polyurethane foam roof that needs patching then recoating with a special rubberized elastomeric paint, and it needs to be dry for that. No leaks, just holes made by birds, hail and time. But we've had periodic rain all winter. No complaints! All my rain containers are full.

The sink project went from finding a leak somewhere in the cabinet to deciding to take it out and re-do it all properly. I got rid of the old RO system and the electric garbage disposal, neither of which I really used, and both of which had small leaks I couldn't find until the systems were out. Unfortunately, the floor of the sink cabinet is completely ruined. I will replace that after putting the sink back in and getting it working again.

Good to see you back estación seca! It is a great thing that you can do those jobs yourself.

We had just about zero rain over our wet season being summer. But we have had rain every 2nd day all this autumn. Good soaking rain. Not so good if your roof is leaking though.

Last we had rain and temps at the high 70's which is normal for April. Now it stopped rainning and temps are rising to the middle 80's, also normal for May.
Spring time is here.

I'm sorry for your roof and floor.

P.S. - Have I told you I have some new species at home? Maybe you know something about them: Laelia harpophylla and Laelia vasconcelosiana.

And you? Anything new orchidwise?

I, too, have missed your posts! I think most of us can relate to the busy-ness that comes from trying to keep up with household chores, maintenance, and repairs. The crazy weather isn't helping at all, with so many parts of the country seeing record rainfalls and other storms, and people having to deal with the consequences of that. Good luck in getting everything done that you're working on!
