Glad you made it back. It wouldn't be a total shock if it had something to do with Windows 10, but I log into this site with that and several other different operating systems with no problems, so my guess is that's just a coincidence.
A lot of times the software that's used to power websites and forums have security measures to prevent break-ins. So for instance, if you type your password in wrong 3 times in a row, your account may get locked. Without knowing details, perhaps the lock expired recently or perhaps the account locks were lost in translation when the forum software was updated.
Unfortunately, I don't think the site owner(s) are very responsive to us and were out of contact for a very long time until recently when they were tracked down due to all the technical issues the site was having. There's a thread out there from the past couple months with more details. Maybe some of the folks that have helped whip the site back into shape can chime in regarding the lack of response to admin mail and/or offer up some solutions? It could be as simple as routing notifications to several regular users and providing enough permissions to be able to handle requests like password resets and unlocking accounts?
