I'm noticing a slow down every day between about 1:15PM and 1:40PM. All my times are GMT so add 7 hours for Eastern Time.

I was browsing happily during my lunch break just now and at 1:28PM the page I was loading froze. That page finally finished loading at 1:34PM. My clock is running fast my somewhere between 5 & 10 min so that can't be exact. However it basically froze for about 6min then it's been fine again since.

I've seen this happen every day this week, consistently starting between 1:15 and 1:30.

It froze on me recently, and as a result I didn't think I had posted a new thread. 2 minutes later the thread still wasn't showing so I reported only to find the original had indeed gone through. Oops... Not the first time this has happened though, so I should probably be more cautious when creating a new thread.

Wow. Interesting! You think it's our server? Does it happen with any other site? Did you try to clear cookies and DNS cache?

Other sites are the same at the time of the slow down. I get this on multiple machines on multiple networks always at the same time of day. I get it on a slow connection (and initially thought it was other people at lunchtime slowing that down) but I also get it on a fast fiber connection.

I've not been regularly reading at that time of day for 10+ days, but a week ago I was using Tapatalk at that same time and that also hung for several minutes at the same time. I had an up/down phone connection that day so can't really know if it was the same thing, however Tapatalk is usually good at coping with a poor signal (it was the rest of the day) and at the time it hung it was showing as having the fastest 3G signal I can get in the UK.

What browser are you using? I only use Pale Moon now.....moved away from FireFox long ago. Forget IE.

I see this problem at various times, not so sure it is tied to a particular time. Seems to happen immediately after posting. Much less common if I'm just reading.

I only use Tapatalk, and I can say it almost never let's me in between 7 and 9am or so Central Standard Time. There have been a few other times, but I wasn't really paying attention.

I don't use Tapatalk. But I've never experienced the lag in question. Would trying without it be a worthy experiment in troubleshooting this issue?

I have fast but not the fastest available broadband, fiber, an i7 system, and almost always boot into my SSD, the one I am writing from right now.

Pale Moon is fast and very secure, but this also means you have to hit run scripts on this page if you don't want lags.

I cleared all my cookies yesterday as suggested yet still the issue remained. Perhaps I should test from the Internet next time.
