Can't help you with advice on the festival as I have never been, but if you are planning to go for more than just a day trip, you might enjoy some of the museums as well. My favorite is the Field Museum of Natural History -- where the dinosaurs are.

Thanks for the suggestion, Paul. Sadly, we weren't able to go this year, but if we decide to go next year, I'll keep it in mind.

We were able to go to cranbrook on Friday and see the dinosaurs, but our favorites were the bats, sloth, skunks, owls and flying squirrels in the nocturnal exhibit.
