I've only had that once or twice when it timed-out while writing the post. I had to log back in and try again, it then worked. Have you managed to make any other new threads?

Rosie, I haven't tried making any other new threads lately. I have had posts time out before, so lately I've been writing them in a word document then I paste and post. That's what I did. Maybe I should try it again.

I don't know why, but I tried starting a new thread in the beginners discussion again today and it worked this time. Thanks for the suggesting I try again!

I tend to write them somewhere else first if they are going to be long, then paste them here. Glad it's worked for you this time.
