Default Questions

1. What are my rights regarding the content I post for "Pubish Story," "Member Blogs," "Review Book," etc?

2. Why not consolide the marketplaces. There is one on the Site Menu, and another in the forums. It is confusing for me to have two different ones, so maybe others feel the same way.

Steve,

1. You're the copyright holder, other then reserving the right to change the layout a bit to fit the website, I have no interest in keeping/publishing or using anyones stories. You wrote them, then they are yours! I appreciate you sharing them with everyone else. Of course, if someone posts a horrible story with bad grammar/spelling then I might yank it. Also, if you put a big flier about a sale that you're having at your place, I also might yank it. I might make a forum where you can advertise your stuff...or better yet, sponsor this board and get some banner ads

2. I've been meaning to do that. I also think that's confusing... I just felt bad about dumping the posts, but oh, well it's got to get done.

Yeah! That was my point earlier. Most seemed to not get it, I'm afraid. There is something strange going on here, and even after Marty seems to have fixed it, there are still problems left over. What gives here? I thought it was the change over to new server, but apparantly not?

See if the time was screwed up for everybody it would still go in the right sequence, just everything would be screwed up. so you could have been posting at 8pm (even though it was only 1pm) the next guy would post at 8:05pm (even though it was only 1:05pm). The sequence was kept.

after I changed the time to proper time, things got a bit goofy. You already had posts made at 8 and 8:05pm but the real time now was say...3pm! Therefore they're showing up before the other posts - confusing everyone

It will be OK, once we pass the time of the screwed up posts....argh! I didn't expect it to be like this, I hoped the time stamps would change... I should have done this at 2am instead!

The frustrating part is that the setting was OK all along, somehow the time was screwed up though. I changed it to GMT and then back to EST and then the right time kicked in - but it will take until tomorrow for new posts to start sequencing properly...

sorry about that.

You should see the time in your time zone in the footer. This time will be offset from the server time (EST = GMT-5hrs)

You should select the time zone which you are in UserCP -> Edit Options or here: http://www.orchidboard.com/community...do=editoptions
