Default Photography forum

Since this keeps coming up quite frequently, I've decided to create a photography forum in the off topic area. Seems that everyone always takes photographs of their orchids, but there's no place to discuss issues related to photo taking. Now there is. Off topic - photography.

Mods: Feel free to move any photography related threads to the new forum

I would think that since we have a forum dedicated to photography, instead of making one giant thread of hints and tip, we should tackle all issues individually in separate threads...
ie.
When to use a tripod
Flash or no Flash
Do I need a Macro Lens
etc

This way everyone can comment on the specific topic, otherwise we will have a photo jambalaya

Go for it

I'll be making a photo of my nephew standing in the bushes in the middle of the night. I want to capture all the blinking fireflies. Then I'll paint him with a small flashlight. If I ever get around to it, I'll try to post what I muster

Don't bother taking it off now, it's too late.
