this is an interesting thread to me, because i posted on the 'breaking the ice' forum, but i didn't have much luck getting responses to my initial questions.

i see now that the intro forum is not the spot to get answers, but for someone new to orchid board it would have been helpful to get a bit of guidance about where to post or how best to get the sort of info that i was seeking. i was conscious of not reposting questions that have been asked many times, but maybe i just couldn't generate any interest in the projects with which i was hoping to get help.

i haven't been following the forum for a while, but when i did it was fun to read the new member intros.

Just made it up, so it would be cryptic and un-descriptive to emphasize the point

rallygirl - sometimes posts get lost in the shuffle - nothing against you, personally!
Intros are to let people know where you are from, what kind of orchids you grow and whatever else you wish to share. They are a way of getting to know the people behind the orchids.
I loved giving my intro because I found this place to be warm and welcome and also a place that I could comfortably ask for information, advise and first-hand experience. Thanks to all the fine people here!
