Default Strange behaviour of OB

This isn't the first time it happens, so I thought I should let you know.

Searching with Google, I sometimes get links to OB, among others. When I click on the OB link in the Google result page, I land on a strange page. Example: propagating dendrobium - Google zoeken
When clicking on this link: Dendrobium Propagation I land on this page: FileStore123.info - Your File Hosting .
If I click again on the OB link, it takes me to the right page (so there's a cookie involved here).

I have gotten a lot of the FileStore123.info links recenty. Likewise, I have had the same experience when re-clicking. It makes me wonder if something hasn't happened to the OB recently, like an attack of some sort.

I thought it was just me and my old computer. I am very glad to know it hasn't been just me!

I have not gotten any of those other links, only the FileStore123.info links. My virus and malware software immediately reacts.

Same here. It has happened on my home computer and my work computer. Usually if I click "back" it will take me to OB. Can't say if my phone gets those redirects as I usually use an app.

I've not seen it before but I get the same thing when I look at your search and click the link to OB.

I'm not sure if this is a google thing or an OB thing. I'm going to move this to the feeback area and alert Marty to see if he thinks it's something from our end.

Me too, if I'm searching for OB threads on Google I'll sometimes get redirected to the filestore page too. I either click the back button or try clicking the link again and it works.

Yes, I've also seen that behaviour. I wonder if there's some malware involved?

Marty - I made a screenshot of it in case it doesn't come up for you. Probably need to open it in a separate window to be able to read the text.

No it has nothing to do with Malware, it looks like it's a DNS routing problem or perhaps something intentional.

If you do a who is search on Orchidboard.com, the domain name is registered through godaddy.com. GoDaddy owns or has an affiliation with a company called domainsbyproxy inc. (we'll say dbpi for short). It appears this is a proxy service allowing the actual website register's name and information to be kept private, nothing shady there. Frankly no one wants their name and address published on the internet. This is why godaddy offers this service. Fileshare123 is a file hosting website owned by dbpi, which is probably thereby owned by godaddy. The hosting company itself is called HostRocket and has no affiliation with GoDaddy or dbpi. This is why I am saying it's either a DNS problem, or intentionally set up like this. Either way I can see this being a major problem for organic traffic input to Orchidboard.com. I get this fileshare website every time I go through Google to get to orchidboard. Anyone who didn't know about this site would think it's spam and immediately close the window. This does seem to be a problem that I would want remedied if I were the admin.

Hope the ramble helped clear a few things up.
