Suggestion on articles section
Here is a suggestion for Marty and the Mods to ponder -
I have been looking over the articles on the home page and I am really confused (I can only imagine what newbies or newcomers must think). We have gone over this in the past, as well. I am really lost when all the articles appear at the same level (ie, just pages of all sorts of things.) Is it possible to organize the whole articles thing into categories and not have the articles appear in a long string on the home page? For instance, could there be just a catalog sort of thing with categories? If I am interested in culture sheets I could just jump to that and skip all the how to set up a terrarium type articles? If I am interested in how to set up a terrarium I could jump to that easily and skip all the how to grow orchids articles? Just a thought. I really don't know how to do this without some more thought, but we have a large amount of valuable info here and I hope we can set up a better library.

I think it sounds like a great idea. We had not done this before because there just weren't that many articles. But it is getting a bit crowded and the older ones are getting ignored I bet.

Yes! But can this be on the Home page? Instead of the lead article?

What do you mean? That's the page you get to when you click "member articles" on the forum menu. Every new article gets promoted to the front page...

I am not against change by no means, a facelift is always good but the lead article (s) is a focal point to the "members articles". I personally would not be interested in seeing a list so to speak of hyperlinks or "go to's" on a homepage. In order to gain members you make your homepage appealing. It gives a friendly welcome as well as letting our guest know the interaction of the OB. It shows for what the OB is all about, friendly, open and your level of growing does not matter. Just my 2 cents worth.

Hi Ross
You don't have to scroll through all the articles to find one on the subject you're interested in...just click on Member Articles in the column on the left side of the page for the list Marty posted

I added a little menu that shows up next to the articles. Click Home, you'll see it in the right column.
