Have there been any recent changes in the Orchid Board style sheets? It works fine in Firefox but not in IE8 and Chrome for me. I don't think a Windows update would have caused this but it's possible. Are people having the same issues on Mac and Linux?

Yeah Firefox is fine Safari is not.
It is a CSS stylesheet problem. something changed on the orchidboard server side. Maybe a forum software upgrade?

I think I know what the problem is. There is a link on the lower left to vote for Orchidboard at Vivarium Topsites. In IE and Chrome the underlying img link is broken and this seems to be causes the entire column to resize. In Firefox this image link is not broken. Not sure why this is but I think it's the source of the problem.
Edit: after inspecting the image link in Chrome I get this message

I think Firefox is just displaying the alternate text associated with the image while IE and Chrome are not.

I also have the 'dark strip' all of a sudden & I have not changed anything in my computer etc..
I have tried changing the bottom left 'style chooser' and it does not get rid of the black strip on the left...
Hope it comes back as it has always been.

You should PM Marty about it, he can check it out. Last year there was a problem due to a broken link to an ad, and it made people on IE have to click the back button twice to go back! When I discovered the probably cause I PMed Marty and he fixed it almost right away.
