1/3/10 8:40 - 8:50 am PST. This is becoming increasingly annoying. I'm beginning to feel I'm not getting any value from my subscription, and would hesitate to reup if this doesn't get fixed. I'm attempting to post this from my new computer running Windows 7 and IE8. Seems to be tied to certain threads for some reason.

I was just moving bunch of files...I bet that the server load triggered this...it would be too much of a co-inky dink otherwise. I'll move the crontabs to different times and maybe reduce the frequancy, but that's all I'll be able to do. Moving servers would be a massive time investment, which I cannot do at the moment. I have to go through the thread and record the times in EST and see if there's a timing pattern that coincides with the crontabs.

I don't know whether it's been better recently Marty, or whether I've just got used to it. I was trying to keep recording them over Christmas and New Year but I don't think I had many, only maybe one I didn't record.
The problem with it loosing my login (not a time-out because sometimes it happens immediately after accepting a post, and had not forgotten my 'New Posts' list) continues several times for every time I'm here. I think that's a seperate problem though and less likely to be caused by server load. I don't know if there was a software update when the option to create a link in facebook was added... but it seemed to start then. I would guess it's more a software problem which is out of your control, unless you have any way to report back to the programmers of vBulleten.

Forum blanks out
Sorry, my GRRR is not specifically about the blanking out. Oh, that does happen to me but I have learned to cope. My problem happens when I try to log in to the forum and I get the "you are currently logged in as a guest" business. What is with that? I joined some months ago. Is this just some aggrevation thought up by some sadist or is it a glitch like the blanking out. Good grief, then I have to try to remember my password and cope with the "you have 5 attempts". Enough already with this.

Not sue if it was the tweaking or a coincidence, but I haven't gotten any white screens today; hope it lasts.
