Getting logged out
For the last few days I've been getting logged out a lot. It seems to happen randomly as I'm clicking on threads. Anyone else having this problem, or have any idea why this would happen? Thanks.

All I can suggest is for you to log out totally, close your browswer and then try again. Clearing your cookies may also help

The problem with unwanted log-off
It happened to me a couple of times in the last few days. Seems to be O.K. today though.
The problem is not just getting logged back on (simple, of course), it is the fact that when you are logged off while viewing "new posts" and log back on they are all "gone". If you want to try to find them, you have to go through each individual forum (waaaay too much time for me). Not the end of the world, but to me, that's the real problem when this happens. If there is another approach, will someone please let me know.
It seems to crop up occasionally. It has happened to me a few times over the past year or so.
Aside from that problem (and slowness . . . but speed costs money, I know) this board functions as well as and/or better than many other forums, web sites, etc. on the web.
Thanks, techs and admins!

Hi Ed,
I find the same problem with loosing the "new posts". The best solution if it happens is to go to "Quick Links" at the top, then "Today's Posts". That way you can see everything which has been updated today. It's not as good as "new posts" but better than going through every sub-forum.
I had problems with getting thrown out several times on Sunday and Monday, but when it happened it did NOT loose the "new posts" when I logged back in. That indicated to me that it had not thrown me out due to the time-out but for some other reason.
It is normal if you have not ticked the 'remember me' box that you get thrown out due to inactivity and that's also when the "new posts" reset. When it was throwing me out recently it did not seem to be the same thing.
Seems OK today though.

Spoke too soon. It's done it three times since I wrote that. Not timing out because when I log back in my "New Posts" have not been reset.

I was logged out last weekend. It did it again Tue and Wed, every time I went to a new post. Seems Ok the last couple of days.
