Marty, I know you just did alot of work on the Home page, but was wondering

If it would be possible to have the articles show up in a random order everytime you visit the homepage. That way, none would get lost into obscurity deep in the first page.

That is a great idea, since I'm too lazy to look through the whole article section. Seems I have to read things more than once since I'm getting up there in age.

Damn, I don't think that this is possible, but I'll look into it... right now, the article system is still messed up. Once I get the functionality back, then I'll fiddle with it.

Just a thought: is it possible to make the table of articles over at the right, the primary thing users see? Sort of like a "site map"? I think the present thrust is to let users see a bit of the original article when they first visit the site. Maybe just a title, or even a shorter synopsis, or a title and a picture? I really like the table format myself because I can go immediately to the articles that interest me most. Eg, I am generally not into things like judging or naming, but REALLY like articles on terrariums or "apple pie"

If you look in the right column on the main HOME page, there's a Member "Article Categories" block. The content part is almost finished, so soon we will need to do a contest to test drive it

I really like that table of contents idea. The point is to make that more visible than the articles, so people know how many articles there really are.
