New Chat - Orchid Board

New version of Chat is now up and running. Give it a test drive. It should behave much better then the older version. It is based on flash, so make sure you have the flash plugin. If you can see the waterfall flow in the top left corner, then you have flash installed.

Click on Chat in the site menu.

I will later remove the chat themes and make a custom theme to match the Orchid Board colour scheme.

Awww I miss your singin' Tindo, actually have a co-worker reminds me so much of you, say 3 words and he sings explosively..

Very slick look to the new chat. Now I just have to get there!

BTW, with the old chat you could shut down the chat window by typing '/exit'. How about now?....click on the 'X' in the top right corner of the window.....how ingenious!

Dave, type in /helpall in the chat. It will give you a list of commands. /exit no longer works, but /quit works just fine

I really like the new chat, I was thinking of making a skin for it that matches OB, but the WinXP theme is pretty cool.

Hopefully, it will alleviate the troubles some people continually had and they'll show up in the chat room more often.

I'll look into it further later but one question for now:
will we have PM capabilities in the chat room under the new system?

Yes of course! This chat is much more powerful then the previous one! Check it out tonight, I'll stop by for a test run. I don't know yet how to make the scrolling message at the top, but will work on it.
