Major Upgrade Completed - Orchid Board

OK, the forum software upgrade was ugly! Crashed the forum, corrupted the database, needed to restore, crashed again....argh!!! There is still a lot of work to be done, but the major guts have been upgraded. You should start noticing new functionality soon.

If you notice any strange behaviour, please let me know.

Hey Marty, seems like we got through relatively unscathed. One minor thing I happened to notice though, is I can no longer change the title of my threads if I want. Hope everything else works ok.

Ok, so I get this message after clicking, Post Reply:
HOwever, this doesn't hinder my ability to post, and its working better than it did before. Using Firefox, after each post I would be sent to a blank screen, then I would have to press back button, then refresh to see my post. Not anymore

That problem is gone.
So maybe this is or isn't a big deal, you decide.
Uhm, that says, this post is a duplicate of a post you have posted in the last five minutes. Which is a big fat lie.

While I haven't trouble-shot the new setup I was aware it was happening (the "sorry" message cropped up) I hope it all is worth the trouble I am sure you are going through. I sort of remeber my old days with IT and don't regret EVER leaving it!

Wow. I really DON'T miss IT days! I feel your pain. When I do a system update on my meeger network (3 machines) and it fails, my head's messed up for days. I can sort of remember when we had this with 200-300 machines and I took it in stride. How was that? There's no way! That's one of the reasons I retired

Now I only have to deal with the wife

By the way, the editor mode on posts doesn't work. I can't paste stuff unless I go into editor mode.
Also the Post Quick Reply option doesn't work.
