WooHoo! OB reached the 8,000 member mark!
I'm on OB as usual this morning, and just noticed that the 8,000th member (orchidbee) just joined a few hours ago. Woo hoo!!! It just shows that Orchidboard is the best orchid forum there is!
Thanks to everyone for making this a wonderful place! I love my OB friends.

The orchid bug must be very busy! I think when I registered there were around 1000.

I agree - I'm relatively new, but this is a great board. I don't know how I've been growing orchids without it!
Thanks to the administrators and everyone who works so hard to keep this thing up and running - you guys are great!!!!

Thanks, Susanne!
It's my absolute fav. orchid - Slc. Jewel Box 'Dark Waters'. I don't know if 'dark waters' normally has so much orange in it, but this one does for some reason. Here's another pic of it.

I've seen Jewel Box before and must say...yours is phenomenal!
The picture looks as though the sun is shining through the center of it...and it's really just the plant color showing off!

Thanks again, Susanne, I have to admit, the flowers in the pictures were in bud when I bought it a year ago. I haven't managed to get it to rebloom, but it's an incredibly vigorous grower - it produced 5 new p-bulbs this summer and the roots are EVERYWHERE! Hopefully I can get some divisions someday .
Now, Let's get some more members!!!
