Yes, I was on holiday with my family. Anyway, you can run the software for 30 days without activating precisely because of such eventuality. You can always call me to activate during regular hours: 305-758-3596.
Becca, I've never heard of a corrupt file in OrchidWiz causing a computer not to start but if you contact me I'm willing to work with you to see what can be done.

Please email me your installation ID again. I generate the activation code based on it (it contains part of the serial number of your machine).

Everything works fine again. I have no clue if Orchidwiz was the problem or not, but I rebooted in safe mode, uninstalled Orchidwiz, rebooted, reinstalled, and everything works just fine. No clue what was wrong!
I'm having a fun time with it. My orchid wishlist grew by a foot, and I found tons of cute orchids for the next OB project! I love orchidwiz!!
