I appreciate all the pictures that OB people share. I confess I mostly lurk because I don't have that much experience with orchids and hence less info to share.

Hello gerneveyn
So nice to meet you Many of the people here are just getting started with their orchid obsession so you are not alone! Diversity abounds in the orchid world and that is what makes it all so interesting. People with all levels of experience with varied ways of growing their 'chids is what makes OrchidBoard such a wonderful place.
We'd love to hear more from you...where are you located? What type or types of 'chids do you have in your collection?
Please join us in the chat room sometime. A group of us gather there each night around 8pm est.

Hi, my name is Sarah. I am currently in New Orleans, but I'm from Jackson, MS. I have phals, a cymbidium, and an Slc. I made a cross of phals and am waiting for the seeds to develop. I'm hoping I didn't harvest the pod too soon.

Yes, making crosses is quite ambitious for an amateur. Thanks for the welcome.

Aboard Gerneveyn ...I do think you have plenty to offer, we all started the same way with our first purchase or gift now look at us, still alot to learn with our spongy brains taking it all in. Keep us updated on your cross...wow impressive

Wendy, I'm starting to get a little worried. I see your post count creeping up and I'm in danger of being overtaken. That's just not acceptable
