What's great about being a programmer is knowing what things are possible and even super easy to do

The same 1-2 lines of code that make it work in the forums can pretty much be copy and pasted into the member's profile code.

I'd say on nearly all popular social networking sites with member photo galleries, you first go to your own profile, click on your friend/buddy's username to go to their profile where you can click on a link for their photo gallery.

When people on myspace or facebook join Orchidboard that's the first thing they will try and do. And then they'll be like

While we're on the topic...it would be nice and efficient if where it said, "Welcome, epiphyte78" had epiphyte78 hyperlinked to my profile page.

Sorry but this thread is to help folks navigate around what we already have here...I'm not going to be re-working the site. It works just fine the way it is. This isn't a social networking site, we just happen to have become friends while discussing orchids.
