Orchid Glossary - Orchid Board

As I was posting a response to What is a Keiki? I wondered if we could have a glossary of orchid term in the OB. A list could be complied by us and then posted in a category of it's own and one click would take you into it. You could browse it alphabetically or maybe type in search terms.

What do you think about that?

Thats a very good idea, but it might make newbies too lazy to post and join up.

Maybe it could be a feature available only once you join!! Anyway that shouldn't stop a newbie from joining - newbies are supposed to be keen, eager and voracious in their desire for more information - something that the OB is perfect source for! :wink:

Your wish is my command. Check out the lexicon option in the menu. It's not user administered though. I will see what I can come up with. On the other hand, it would be nice to have few moderators that could add/remove terms. It would be a type of a gatekeeper that would be responsible enough not to post terms that have wrong or incomplete definitions. Users could submit therms to them for approval/posting.

I still have to play with formatting, but I'll do that later.
