Am I the only one? - Orchid Board

I realize I may be suffering from AADD, but I've noticed lately that many times when I log on to the Orchid Board and check the box to "remember me" (or whatever it's called) I still have to log in to every page. If I send an e-mail to Marty, the problem goes away. Is it the vibes? Or what? This has only been happening within the last 2 weeks. Prior to that I never had to re-log in after I checked that box. Just curious if others have seen this same situation - or is it just me?

Ross, I just have this site listed in my favorites on explorer and I never have to log in. Is that what you're doing?

I thought so, but recently I have had to log in again. Not sure what is going on, because the new log in sometimes fails! There was NEVER a problem until a couple weeks ago and then al of a sudden, things changed.

It depends on if you have a track clearner that runs on your computer. Are you using IE7 and cleaning your cache regularly? It could be a multiple of actions goin' on...the only puzzling of mention is when you email Marty, coincidence?

Try going into other webpages that you have to sign in and optioned to "Remember Me" and see if you get the same...

Question to you....have you signed in "remembered me" and do your thing here on the board and than close out of your browser and than go back into it...do you still get to where you have to sign back in...assuming your sign in and not email Marty after each sign-in.

Another thought, do you click "log out". I do not if you do, try it without clicking "log out" and see what happens...one can go on and on as to what the possibilities are...just my 2 cents worth...

Cheryl, the answers are complex - up until a week, or so, ago I didn't have to do anything. I just picked Orchid Board from my favorites and went in - no problem. Then all of a sudden I started getting weird things happen like most of the time I see either the picture posted in a message or a series of thumnails. But occassionally there's nothing in the message. Lately I log into Orchid Board and the message in upper left says I'm logged in but when I select the "forums" link from the list the screen starts to display the forums then quickly switches to a new screen - the same one you get if not logged in. Now today everythings seems to be fine. Go figure!

Hummm..

Sounds like it's merely a glitch somewhere or webpage restlessness. Hopefully it's better and will stay that way. If not post here again as well as anyone else, Marty will see this and check on his side of the web. Glad it's resolved for now....

The 'Remember Me' feature has never worked for me as well as sometimes after I type a post and submit it, I get the message back that I am a guest and loose the post (very frustrating) even though I was logged in.

YES! That's the sort of thing that was happening to me - also when I tried to view a link to a gallery.

The only wierd thing that happens to me is that, like today, there are certain times when new posts don't show that little red badge of newness. So I have no idea there have been new posts. Then I gotta go looking for all the new posts by date.
As for the sign in remember me problem. That has not happened to me.

Are you people having problems Mac users? We had the issue at ST for one person, but I'm on a Mac and never had the trouble.
