Did you guys figure anything out ? Things still messnig up ? I'm a bit at a loss here and can't really sit in front of your computers to fiddle with things.
btw, when you clear the cache, make sure you're on some other page and not on OB.

Ya the time thing was my fault... I shouldn't have messed around with it so early in the day. Ironwood, are you still having problems ?

I was getting weird things like that the afternoon of the time warp! I'd try to post and nothing was there. I'd repost and it said there was already a post and this was a duplicate. Maybe there is still a gliztch?

The post was there. This is the AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) technology implemented into the vbulletin. The idea behind it is to save bandwidth and eliminate unnecessary page reloads. When you make a post, the post goes into the database, but the page is not refreshed to show you the post, instead the post "should" be shown only in your browser for you without reloading the whole thread. If you go back, the post won't show up in the thread, until you refresh manually and reload the thread into your browser.... so no worries, once you press "POST" it's there for others to see

I have not been inadvertently logged out lately. I have gotten behind 3 pages of postings (you know, places to go people to see) twice since weekend. I start on last post of page 3 and work my way forward and both times when I worked my way back to page 1 and tried to display it, i got a message something like server unable to find page never can remember those error messages. I was able to get to page 1 by hitting back button until it took me back to page 1.
"Remember Me" feature
This feature is normally done for me by FireFox and only if I instruct it to do so but FireFox has to query me to do this initially. Some sites block this feature from working in FireFox, this site may be one or it may be the way you are initially logged on by clicking on the link sent out by the site. After you click on the link you are automatically logged in, therefore there is no initial login for FireFox to detect, although I would think that it should still happen on next login (again getting back to the blocking issue). My knowledge of computers and what happens WHEN, is very limited. (that's why there is technical support isn't it)
I have done some Googling with some of the situations listed in this Topic Post vs Vbulletin and have found that Vbulletin is fraught with idiosyncrasy that can reach out and grab some people. I still have some more things to check out, but as of now I don't have the answer.

Thanks for the explaination. Sounds like forum is working very differently for each os us. When I post a message (most of the time) the screen automatically refreshes and my post appears. I have never manually refreshed, except when I think someone is there reading the posts then I'll try refreshing to see if there was a reply.

Well I just got one of those inadvertent log outs that you only find out about after you hit the 'submit reply' button.
One thing I have learned using this forum format is to save the post in the buffer before hitting the 'submit reply' button.
When I logged back in I received this message.

Ironwood you're a trooper !!! Honestly, I have no idea what's going on in your case. Sign up at slippertalk, make few posts and see if it's behaving the same way. We both use vbulletin as forum software.
