When it came to the question: "what do you do in low humidity?" I didn't really like the answer of just growing low humidity tolerant orchids.
It's a problem probably most orchid growers have encountered and there are ways of compensating but well I will leave that one open in the air. Yes there is a solution, a tent helps lots yes but there are easy solutions without using a tent. Nother video maybe. Always something new to explore although it's nothing I haven't showed before so the answers are out there for those who are curious.

I have tried it myself, mine was just two tupperware containers stacked ontop of each other with a hydroponic pump attached to a timer but as you can see in the blog it takes a fair bit of space to build the system (I do like the wheels).
Once it is built the res has to be replaced regularly and honestly for the effort it just isn't worth building an ebb abd flow system.
So replicating the same would require watering twice a day but you don't need to water twice a day imo. You just use more water retentive media and water a bit less and you get pretty much the same results so is it worth building a big ebb and flow table?
Only for really water hungry plants. Orchids are not very water hungry. Neofinetia's can go months without watering in winter. They would most certainly not suited.
I have less experience with the phrags but it still seems excessive considering self watering pots work really well too...
The fertilizer purely organic by jim young sounds like great stuff, thanks for that. It's a shame the secret ratio doesn't seem to get revealed from any google search but seeing the results I am suspecting it is very similar to what I am using these days.

But otherwise ignore me, like usual. still about, still growing my orchids, also considering making a blog myself. Orchidboard has it's pro's but also too many non-people people. Like me... I am an orchid person. I certainly understand them better than people. It's probably become noticebale in my short time here.
Dustin inspired me so if anyone has a good blog site I can start with that would be great. Thanks. It's probably better for me to start a blog than to keep being annoying on OB by pointing out we still have lots to learn (including the teachers) but that is never my intention, I'm just not a people-person, so a blog seems the sensible thing for me too in future
