Red face Need help in posting pics.

Didn't know exactly which forum to go to but here is where I ended up. I know how to add pictures to my gallery but I don't know how to add a picture of one of my orchids to a "thread"? When you post a reply at the bottom of a thread I don't see where you can add a photo. Not of this computer age, need help. Thanks!

Default Posting pics to thread

I still need help. First I went to "My Gallery" selected a pic I wanted, then down to "Linked Thumbnail" then clicked button below. Another box appeared indicating the pic info but as a moderator said I was to "copy to posting" BUT I didn't see anything that indicated how to copy or how to get it to a thread????? Then I decided to create a new thread, scrolled down to the bottom where it said "Manage Attachments", clicked then a box appeared so one could browse their files to pick the desired picture, which I did. Then clicked on upload, closed that window BUT once again it DID NOT appear in the thread. Maybe I didn't understand the first time or need more detailed instructions. I love using/viewing this Orchid Board but I just won't post any pics.

Don, try this. Go to the photo (not an album) you want to post. Below the photo you will see a long white dialog with a URL in it. Click once on that box and it should turn all blue. Select "copy" from <edit><copy> at the top of your screen or even easier press <ctrl><c> on your keyboard. Go back to your thread and place the cursor where you want the picture to appear. Then use your keyboard again and press <ctrl><v> for paste. A small image should appear in your thread which we can click on to get to the full-sized one. Try it.

or what you could do is
first reduce the size of your photo -
Resizing Images...originally posted 6/13/06 by Marty

go to the screen where you post a reply .. find the icon that looks like a paperclip .. when you click on it .. it will bring up a manage attachment screen where you can browse your computer for a picture .. search through to where you have it stored in your computer .. (remember to have the size reduced first) -
then click on the open command in the file upload screen .. and then click on the upload icon in the manage attachments screen and give it a few seconds/minutes to upload .. once it is attached to the post .. you will see it under the attached file area under where you write your post
I hope this helps also

Red face Posting Pics to thread

First and foremost I apologies to ALL board members the pic of my Grandson (Noah) and the two pics of my Kingianum that appear in this thread. Ross THANK YOU for your instructions but I still had a little trouble trying to post. My daughter got on the phone and walked me thru the process that Ross posted. As you can see "she" is now a Jr. Member with one post (my grandson) and I ended up two pics of my Kingianum without any explanation. Please consider this just that! I am approaching 70 and takes me a little longer. I appreciate all of your patience and hopefully will not have any trouble in the future with posting pics.
