This one is getting to be a regular bloomer for us. Has gotten pretty big now. We grow it in shade but with some bright light (some shadow when hand placed over it) for half of the day. Water when dry, less water in winter. It does like it warm and humid, seems to like our 100F summer afternoons and then, lows in the 50s all winter.

Nice! Mounted on tree fern? How big is that plant and how big are the leaves?

No, not mounted, in a 6” pot. I don’t know if mounting it would give the desired look, as it grows fairly erect and flat. In the wild it grows on top of the branches, not usually on the side or trunk. We have it in large chunky fir bark with some large perlite (sponge rock), so it drains well and has air to its roots. It’s puedobulbs are about 6-8” (15-20 cm) and its leaves are about the same. It doesn’t have much, if any fragrance at all. Which is a shame.

Is this photo blurry and not very sharp? I have noticed lately that the photos seem to be clear and sharp when taken but when uploaded they seem to be a lot less clear and blurred. This photo was taken holding the phone sideways and looks clear and sharp when viewed there (you can see clearly, the individual leaves of the Baby Tears on the ground). I did not manipulate the photo by rotating it and saving it, and rotating it back and saving again, which I thought may be the problem before. Thinking that the saved image was stored using less memory. Now I am thinking that it is the way it is uploaded. The uploaded file (photo) can only be so large and the clear photo exceeded that limit, giving the blurry photo. Have not had blurry photos on other sites. Does this site need to be up dated again, so that it can upload larger files. Thought that OB was updated not long ago and what a ordeal that was.

Thanks!

Some people seem to post very large photos. I don't know how this works. I will try looking at some of them and see whether I can figure it out.

It only looks blurry to me when I blow it up. Beautiful plant.

In this thread
Oberonia rosea

AnonYMouse posts photos that are very detailed and very large. After hitting the Quote button to one of these posts, one can see the underlying link to the photo. In this case the photos are from imgur.

I inserted spaces that don't belong there so the link doesn't function as a link in my post:
