Mine were bitten off at soil level by rats, but fortunately have regrown. Last year the variegated ones lost most of their variegation quickly outside, but my temperatures were much higher than yours.

Roots out the base of the pot and new 'side' growths. Looks like these are happy outdoors campers.
I'm basically watering these daily and just added more osmocote.
The tallest plant is at 13in and still growing.
BTW - Kusamono currently has these for pre-order.

I just checked mine. No signs of any growth. I'm going to try and hold them out to March and hopefully be able to put them directly from fridge to outdoors. The time in the basement wasn't a big plus.

I'll be bringing my corms out of the fridge soon. I have to find a new growing method though. What had worked great for years before at my old house apparently does not work great at the new house. I only got double the number of corms last year. I usually get triple. Still gonna need to sell some off though. Over the course of probably about 4 years, I went from 3 to nearly 100. If anyone wants a few, let me know.

I did what I planned - from fridge to outdoors and gave protection when temps hit 30f a few times. We're over the worst regarding temps and these look like they are doing well. I checked on one bulb and found that I had planted it upside down. Strange thing is that the new growth was growing directly down with no attempt to right itself. That doesn't happen with other bulbs and is probably why I've read recommendations that they be planted sideways.

I didn't fridge mine this year, but rather kept them in leca in my basement that stays in the mid 50s all winter long. They broke dormancy early and I've had them outside close to a month now. We just had a cold night where the temp was 32 for several hours, but the plants were sitting on top of 350 gal of 50° water so they were unaffected. The plant in the second pic started to rot shortly after it broke dormancy, but by keeping drier for a few days it stabilized and then started growing again. So far I'm very impressed with leca for these!
