I unpotted mine today. I can't find anything alive. Many pieces of pumice are almost the same color as tubers, though, which makes it difficult.
I think I kept them damp too long after they died down, and then I think I kept them too warm when they were dry. I'm going to try again with them next year. I ordered some today for delivery next spring.
The Kusamono Gardens listing for this plant has links at the very bottom of the text to a blog in which the person tried various soil mixes. He recorded how plants grew and looked, and how many tubers formed in each pot. The biggest and healthiest tubers developed in regular potting soil. The plants in the potting soil were a little chlorotic, which likely could be fixed with some pH adjustment.
I also ordered a couple of others to see how they do. I'm going to plant the Spiranthes in a bog-dish garden when it arrives. The Ponerorchis I'll grow much like the Habenaria.
