Default Bletia patula - SPIKE!

Bletia is a genus from the Caribbean and tropical Americas, related to Phaius. (NOT Bletilla)

After growing this limestone-loving terrestrial/lithophyte in a not-too-successful fashion for a few years, I imitated the shallow-soil-on-limestone with an organic soil containing compost and a lot of broken concrete and eggshell (concrete chemistry is similar to the limestone from which concrete is made).

After 1 year and a much bigger growth:
