I have recently acquired an anceps as well, how are keeping it? I cannot decide if I want to mount it hanging down or do a basket pot situation.

L. anceps is one of the most bulletproof orchids around. Depending on size, I'd suggest mount, or a basket with little or no medium. Even in my climate, which is drier than yours, in pots or in baskets with any significant amount of bark, they putt along slowly until they hit the edge and then take off. (I assume they're telling me that they didn't want to be in a pot) If you mount it and it outgrows the mount, the whole thing (mount and all) can go into a basket simply for control But especially with high humidity, those roots don't want to be confined. L anceps thrives on abuse even more than most orchids.
