Default Ornithocephalus myrticola

This is a dwarf species with wide distribution throughout the humid forests of Brazil, Bolivia and Peru. It is a warm to hot grower fan shaped orchid that has incredible flowers. The column resemble bird heads, hence its name Ornithocephalus (bird head). Depending on the point of view it is easy to see some weird birds in flight formation as in the second photo! Awesome!

That is so interesting and intriguing, Mauro! Lovely blooms and I think the mounting looks very neat too. Thanks for sharing.

That's a pretty bizarre but interesting plant. Thanks for showing it to us! I dont think I would ever have seen it otherwise.
